October at The Blue Bowl , West Harptree

I remember trying to find the right time to paint the place but being thwarted by the weather.

Moments after a truly epic October downpour I ventured back out from the pub and took some photos of the emerging sky. The sun was setting, light was fading, and the clouds were turning into a festival of colour. The lights of the pub lit up the wet road as the sun quickly disappeared.
